Truman Capote

Para quem, como eu, aguarda o lançamento entre nós do filme Capote, o artigo no último Sunday Times intitulado The Truman Show foi um bom preliminar. Segue-se um excerto abaixo:

"Quit?" he laughed. "Whatever for? Can't you see I'm another Devil's Island success story?" At Quo Vadis, Truman waved languidly at the bartender. They were used to him here. A waiter quickly brought him a double vodka on the rocks. He gulped it down. He would drink three more. The bar was dominated by an enormous painting. Truman considered it "the perfect metaphor for the life of an American writer". It depicted a mammoth fighting bull dying, a phallic spear staked in his bleeding side, as a triumphant Roman gladiator looks up at a bemused emperor.
