Vou andar nos próximos tempos a ler aos poucos este livrinho do Séneca, que a Penguin acabou de editar, e que está integrado numa colecção que inclui, entre outros: As Confissões de um Pecador de Santo Agostinho, ou o On Friendship de Montaigne, ou, ainda, The Social Contract de Rousseau.

No inicio desta obra de Séneca houve já umas passagens que achei interessantes: "we are not given a short life, but we make it short, and we are not ill supplied but wasteful of it". Ou então: "Life is divided into three periods, past, present and future. Of these, the present is short, the future is doubtful, the past is certain."
